Steps to follow

  1. Set up a continuous, gentle sound loop in baby's room at a safe volume (below 50 dB, speaker 3+ feet from crib).
  2. During nighttime wake-ups, keep the room dim and interactions calm and quiet.
  3. Feed and change baby efficiently, then hold briefly until drowsy before placing back in crib.
  4. Keep the same sound running throughout — don't restart or change it.
  5. During the day, expose baby to natural light and normal household sounds to help build their day-night rhythm.
